Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • You have recently upgraded your NSX-T environment.
  • You are running NSX-T version 3.2.0, 3.2.1 or 3.2.2.
  • You are running a Federated NSX-T environment.
  • One of your Edge Nodes are not responding properly post upgrade.
  • If you try to replace the Edge Node from the cluster the interfaces on the Tier0 gateway will not be updated from the old Edge Node to the newly deployed Edge Node.
  • The Edge cluster will display the newly deployed Edge Node as well as non-problematic Edge Node after replacement.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x

Cause

  • In an NSX Federated Environment, if the user creates Tier0 gateway on the Global Manager with uplinks, the Global Manager will assign one index per Edge Node path which is used in the uplinks.
  • Later if the user deletes that uplink and Edge Node is no longer in use, the Global Manager federated gateway config object will still have that path.
  • This will cause a Tier0 provider realization error on the Local Manager.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in NSX-T version 3.2.3 at VMware downloads
