Edge upgrade fails with error code 73001 - Failed to reload haproxy

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • You are upgrading an Edge configured with HA 
  • The upgrade fails with error code 73001
  • In /logs/management-services/vsm.log you encounter an entry similar to the below in the logs:

errCode :73001
errMsg :[256] Failed to start haproxy : Starting HA-Load-Balancer: vse-ha-lb

 
  • In /logs/management-services/vsm.log you also encounter an entry similar to the below in the logs:

Cause

  • The issue is due to a whitespace at the end of the "Cookie Name" field in the Edge Application Profile

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution to this issue.

Workaround:
Remove the whitespaces from the "Cookie Name" field in the Application Profile.
