What is new in the August, 2024 Update:

• This update includes the revised branding that changes VMware SD-WAN to VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN, and changes VMware SD-WAN Edge to VeloCloud Edge.
• Edge models 510 Wi-Fi, 510N, 610 Wi-Fi, and 610N have all reached End of Sale, each model carries a note that there remains a surplus of inventory for Edge 510's and 610's and these models can still be purchased while supplies last.
• Added two new notes under Please Note section stating that End of Sale Edges may not be supported on all platform software releases going forward. Also that End of Support/End of Life Edges can be expected to have support on the LTS software release that was available at the time they became End of Life/End of Support.

What was new in the February, 2024 Update:

• This update adds entries for some versions of the Edge 510 and Edge 610. Specifically, the Edge 510 (Wi-Fi), 510N (Non-Wi-Fi), 610 (Wi-Fi), and 610N (Non-Wi-Fi) versions.
• As documented under Recommended Action, the above models are all replaced by the Edge 710-W. The Edge 710-W is TAA compliant and becomes generally available on 01 February, 2024.
• Both LTE versions, the 510-LTE and 610-LTE, along with the Edge 610C are not part of this End of Sale/End of Life update and currently have no End of Sale/End of Life date.

• Standard, Enterprise, and Premium licenses will continue to remain orderable for renewal on these Edges.
• The actual End of Sale dates might change based on the available inventory. 
• VMware SD-WAN will continue providing support for these Edge models per the End of Support/End of Life dates listed above.
• Edges which have reached End of Sale may not be supported on all platform software releases.
• Edges which have reached End of Support/End of Life will be supported on the LTS (long term support) release that coincides with the End of Support/End of Life date for a particular Edge.

What is the effect on different software licenses attached with the existing Edge models?

Customers will retain the ability to order Standard, Enterprise, and Premium licenses for renewal for all listed Edges.

How will RMA's be supported after the End of Sale dates? 

Inventory has been set aside for RMAs. If there is no longer inventory for that particular Edge model, an Edge of equal or greater capability will be delivered as the replacement.
