Infrastructure Maintenance is defined as any work performed on the underlying infrastructure upon which the Orchestrators and the Gateways are hosted.

Resolution

Q: What is the impact of Infrastructure Maintenance to the VMware SD-WAN Orchestrator?
A:  During the activity,

•  Users will experience a brief loss of access to the Orchestrator.
•  Edge and Gateway services are not impacted.

Q: What is the impact of Infrastructure Maintenance to the VMware SD-WAN Gateway?
A: During the activity, customers who do not use redundant tunnels for their Non SD-WAN Destination (NSD) via Gateway will observe impact to traffic for their NSD.

Q: What happens if there are issues with the Infrastructure Maintenance?
A: In the event there are issues with the underlying Infrastructure Maintenance, a roll back is possible, and the VMware SD-WAN Orchestrator and Gateway can be reverted to a pre-maintenance state.
