Aria Automation Services are not discovered in VMware Infrastructure Health adapter

Issue/Introduction

• Aria automation is deployed in a cluster setup behind a load balancer and integrated with Aria Operations using the Load Balanced FQDN/IP
• Data related to Aria automation services is not available in Aria Operations

Environment

• VMware Aria Automation
• VMware Aria Operations

Cause

By Default VMware Infrastructure Health adapter is configured to monitor and collect data related to all VMware Aria Automation services. This issue occurs when Aria Automation nodes are behind a load balancer and Port forwarding for port 8008 is not configured on the Load Balancer.

 

Resolution

• Configure port forwarding for port 8008 on the Load Balancer

Procedure for NSX-T Load balancer:

1.Create a New virtual server for port 8008

• Navigate to Networking > Load Balancing > Virtual Servers
• Click Add virtual server and select L4 TCP

Input the below details:

Name: Give the virtual server a name.
IP Address: Load balanced IP address of the Aria Automation 
Ports: 8008
Load Balancer: Select the Load balancer configured for Aria Automation
Server Pool: Select the Server Pool of Aria Automation nodes
Application Profile: Select the Aria Automation profile 

2. Save the configuration
