Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Creating a new vRealize Operations Integration in vRealize Automation 8.7 under  Infrastructure -> Integrations  give an error message:

"Failed to validate credentials. Error: com.vmware.xenon.common.LocalizableValidationException: A valid certificate was not found:"

  • No Prompt is displayed in the UI to trust the vRealize Operations certificate.
  • The /var/log/services-logs/prelude/provisioning-service-app/file-logs/provisioning-service-app.log has an error similar to:

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Cause

The issue is caused by a UI bug which prevents the certificate prompt from appearing.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in the vRealize Automation 8.8 release.
