VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0.1
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.1

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:

ProLinux is a supported guest operating system on VMware vSphere. Please refer to the VMware compatibility guide , which is the authority on specific supported configurations of guest operating system releases and VMware vSphere releases. If a particular vSphere release does not provide a guest operating system option for ProLinux in the vSphere client during the process of creating or editing a virtual machine, select "Other N.x Linux (64-bit)" as the guest operating system, where N is best match for the major Linux kernel version included in the ProLinux release.
