Issue/Introduction

Is to not mislead the users, as the protocols are indeed updated correctly.

Symptoms:
Updating TLS versions using the TLS Configuration utility throws an error message “Service vmcam with endpoint ('localhost', 7476), was not configured correctly to the requested protocol(s)" and "The update to protocol(s) failed" at the end of the console output.

Environment

VMware vSphere 6.7.x
VMware vCenter Server 8.0
VMware vSphere 5.5.x

Cause

The issue is seen when the TLS update operation is invoked. It doesn't have the client certs to authenticate and hence shows the error message.

Resolution

False error message can be ignored and a subsequent TLS scan shall display the right output with all the services updated correctly.

Workaround:
No workaround available.
