vGPU vMotion stun time estimates

Issue/Introduction

• This Article will guide on how to utilize vGPU vMotion Stun Time Estimate functionality in vSphere 8.0 U2 and above versions.
  
  
• During VM Configuration, a vGPU PCI device section's Estimated Max Stun Time reports "Not available".

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.0.2

Cause

For vSphere 8.0 U2, Stun Time estimates are only available for C-Series and Q-Series vGPU types.

Resolution

• Make sure each host has a vMotion network service enabled. This can be accomplished by creating a VMkernel port and enabling vMotion on an ESXi/ESX host refer to: vMotion interface - Creating a VMkernel port and enabling vMotion on an ESXihost (304952)
• Workaround:
  Currently there is no workaround.
