Issue/Introduction

This Article will guide on how to utilize vGPU vMotion Stun Time Estimate functionality in vSphere 8.0 U2 and above versions.

Symptoms:
During VM Configuration, a vGPU PCI device section's Estimated Max Stun Time reports "Not available".

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.0.2

Cause

For vSphere 8.0 U2, Stun Time estimates are only available for C-Series and Q-Series vGPU types.

Resolution

VI Admin should make sure each host has a vMotion network service enabled. This can be accomplished by one of the following:

• Cluster QuickStart Workflow - https://core.vmware.com/resource/cluster-quickstart
• Creating a VMkernel port and enabling vMotion on an ESXi/ESX host refer to: 2054994.

Workaround:
Currently there is no workaround.
