Issue/Introduction

Avoid vsock module error when using default Oracle Linux 9.0 UEK R7 kernel.

Symptoms:
vsock cannot be used when using default UEK R7 kernel in Oracle Linux 9.0

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0

Cause

Oracle Linux 9.0 default UEK R7 kernel doesn't include the vsock and vsock_diag modules.

Resolution

No Resolution available.

Workaround:
If use vsock module, please select the Red Hat Compatible Kernel (RHCK) instead of the default UEK R7 kernel during Oracle Linux 9.0 boot.
