Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

NSX-V to NSX-T migration coordinator reports the error below while authenticating to NSX-V manager

"Error: Source NSX credentials are invalid. (Error code: 30714)"

Environment

VMware NSX-T

Cause

This is caused by the incorrect credentials being used to log into vCenter via the NSX-T GUI.

Resolution

Go to vCenter > Menu > Networking and Security > Users and Domains > Users tab.

Check your "admin" account and verify whether the Origin is set to "vCenter" or "NSX CLI User". The default should be "NSX CLI User".

If it is set to vCenter, then can you try using vsphere.local\administrator ([email protected]) account instead of admin
