Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

This is caused by the incorrect credentials being used to log into vCenter via the NSX-T GUI.

Resolution

This is a condition that may occur in a VMware NSX environment.

Workaround:

  1. Go to vCenter > Menu > Networking and Security > Users and Domains > Users tab.
  2. Check your "admin" account and verify whether the Origin is set to "vCenter" or "NSX CLI User".

The default should be "NSX CLI User".

Note:

If it is set to vCenter, then try using vsphere.local\administrator ([email protected]) account instead of admin
