Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
- The NetApp Virtual Storage Console (VSC) 1.0 has been uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs, but the plugin continues to appear in vCenter Server
- Cannot remove NetApp VSC plugin from vCenter Server
- Removing NetApp VSC plugin from vCenter Server fails
- The vCenter Server Plugin Manager reports this error for VSC:
The following error occured while downloading the script plugin from https:/61922/conf/plugin.xml
Unable to connect to remove server
cannot-remove-vsc-plugin
Environment

Resolution
To resolve this issue:
- Browse to the IP address of vCenter Server from a browser.
- Click Browse Managed Objects By vSphere.
- In the Properties table, click Content.
- Search for and click the extensionManager link. The Extension Manager screen appears.
- Locate the Netapp extension, which may be listed as com.netapp.exoforce.
- Click the Netapp extension and copy the key string com.netapp.exoforce.
- In the browser window, click Unregister Extension.
- Paste the string copied in step 6 in the Value field and click Invoke Method.
- Re-launch the vSphere Client.
Note: You may have to restart VMware VirtualCenter Server service for the changes to take effect.
