Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Audit logging for vShield Edge does not work properly in vShield Manager 5.1.

    Note: The requests are audit-logged as success as soon as they are stored in the database and before they are successfully applied to the vShield Appliance. If the requested configuration failed to apply on the vShield Appliance, it is not reflected in the audit log.
     
  • Requests rejected on syntactic validations are no longer audit logged.


Environment

VMware vShield Edge 5.1.x
VMware vShield Manager 5.1.x

Resolution

This is a known issue.
Currently, there is no workaround for this issue.
