"Cannot retrieve java:comp/env/jdbc/myodbc3-test" error message in NSX Manager log

Issue/Introduction

After booting the NSX Manager, the vsm.log file output contains errors similar to:

2017-05-23 17:10:00.009 GMT ERROR ThreadPool DecoderAlertManager:87 - Cannot retrieve java:comp/env/jdbc/myodbc3-test.

Note: The preceding log excerpts are only examples. Date, time, and environmental variables may vary depending on your environment.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x

Cause

This issue occurs because the NSX Manager is reporting exceptions with ODBC test.

Resolution

This error is caused by a test and can be safely ignored.
