Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
- Adding a new host to the VXLAN prepared cluster fails, you see an error similar to:
VTEP has not been created successfully on the Host.
- Running the command esxcfg-vmknic -l on ESXi host, you do not see any netstack with vxlan label.
Environment
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
Resolution
To resolve this issue, add at least one uplink on ESXi host to vDS used for NSX.
To add an uplink, Use properties on vDS > Add host > select the host > manage physical adapters > assign adapters to uplinks of the vDS.
