Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Inaccurate or incorrect monitoring of sensor data is reported in the vCenter Server Hardware Status
  • vCenter Server Hardware Status intermittently displays incorrect information
  • Inaccurate alerts are generated in the vCenter Server Hardware Status tab
  • Sensor data information available from the hardware vendors may be incorrectly displayed in the vCenter Server or vSphere Client connected to the ESX/ESXi host

Cause

After IPMI write operations, sfcbd returns incorrect data for a period of time (approximately between 30 seconds and 5 minutes).

Resolution

This is a known issue. Currently, there is no workaround.
