Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Configuration settings options are missing or cut off in vCenter Server 5.x
• HA Advanced Options do not appear in Edit Settings in vCenter Server
• The Cluster Edit Settings window opens in a full screen
• Settings in the VMkernel Properties window are missing

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x
VMware vCenter Server 5.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 5.1.x

Cause

This issue occurs if the text setting is too large on the machine where vSphere Client is installed.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, resize the text setting.

To resize the text size:

1. Navigate to the Screen Resolution Panel.
2. In the Control Panel, click All Control Panel Items > Display.
3. Click Make text and other items larger or smaller.
4. Select Smaller - 100%.
5. Log off and log in again.
