Issue/Introduction

This article provides steps to export performance data from the vSphere Storage Views tab.


Environment

VMware vCenter Server 5.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 4.1.x
VMware vCenter Server 4.0.x

Resolution

To export the performance data from the Storage Views tab:
  1. Click the object in Inventory. For example, Datacenter, Cluster, Host, or Virtual Machine.
  2. Click the Storage Views tab for the object that you selected.
  3. Set and display the information you want to export in the right pane:

    • Click the drop down list under Reports and Maps in the top left corner of the right pane and make your selection.
    • Right-click the title bar in the right pane and select any additional information to add to the View.

  4. Right-click the blank space in the right pane and click Export List.
  5. Enter a name for the file to be exported.
  6. Select one of these file type:

    • Microsoft Excel Workbook
    • Web Page
    • Web Page w/external CSS
    • CSV, XML File

  7. Click Save.
