Hardware Status tab does not display the storage sensors on ESXi 5.5 hosts when viewed from vCenter Server

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The Hardware Status tab does not display the sensor information for the storage controllers when viewed from vCenter Server.
• When connected directly to the ESXi host using the vSphere Client, all sensors are visible.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5
VMware vCenter Server 5.5.x

Cause

This is a known issue with Small Footprint CIM Broker (SFCB) services on the ESXi hosts.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in ESXi 5.5 Update 1.
