Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Customer using an L2 bridge with multiple interfaces on the ESXi host, where VLANs are not evenly distributed on them, but present only in some of the uplinks as a method of multitenancy.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Resolution

This is an unsupported configuration in NSX for vSphere 6.x.

The DLR Bridge must have both VXLAN/VLAN pair traffic mapped to the same physical uplink on the ESXi host.

For example, if the traffic from the VXLAN segment picks vmnicA for getting out, the bridged VLAN for that segment must be present as such in vmnicA.
