Resolution

The default Virtual Center Alarm for Virtual Machine Total Disk Latency does not function on VMware vCenter Server 4.0 and VMware vCenter Server 4.1.
This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 4.1 Update 1 and ESX/ESXi 4.1 Update 1, where new trigger VM Max Total Disk latency (ms) is introduced.
For more information, see the Virtual Machine Management section of the VMware vCenter Server 4.1 Update 1 Release Notes.
For information regarding upgrading to vSphere 4.1 Update 1, see Upgrading vCenter Server, Update Manager, and ESX/ESXi to vSphere 4.1 Update 1 (1034497).
