Issue/Introduction

  • No UDLR DHCP Relay configuration on the Secondary NSX Manager UI
  • V2T migration might fail with mismatch configuration exists between Primary and Secondary NSX Manager
  • Primary NSX Manager has the universal DLR DHCP relay configuration, which is missing on the Secondary NSX Manager Edge UDLR UI
  • DHCP service will fail on the secondary NSX manager
  • Secondary NSX Manager Edge UDLR UI:

Environment

VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere 6.4.x

Cause

Intermittent issue observed in a newly deployed (greenfield) environment with NSX-V 6.4.12 or 6.4.13

Resolution

No resolution is planned for this issue. See workaround.

Workaround

Option 1: Using UDLR Edge UI, make any configuration change (like rename UDLR or DHCP config change) and save the configuration
Option 2: Using API (Note: Brief data path outage could happen due to configuration update)
       a) use API GET call for the UDLR configuration
              GET https://<Manager-IP>/api/4.0/edges/<edgeID>
       b) use PUT call for the same UDLR with payload from GET call in step a)
              PUT https://<Manager-IP>/api/4.0/edges/<edgeID>
