VC_EVENTS endpoint failure in Skyline Collector version 1.0.x and 1.1.x

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
If you running Skyline Collector versions 1.0.x or 1.1.x after the release of the 1.2 collector the VC_EVENTS endpoints shows a failure status. 

Environment

Skyline Collector Appliance 1.x

Cause

With the release of Skyline Collector 1.2 the collection of VC_EVENTS has been globally disabled for all Skyline collector versions less than 1.2.0.0. This was done to abide by the GDPR compliance regulations.

Resolution

You will need to upgrade the Skyline Collector to 1.2.0.0 to have events collected. 

Update the Appliance

1. Login to the newly patched VAMI interface using a browser to the collector’s address with port 5480
   • https://skyline.example.com:5480
2. Browse to the Update tab and check for new updates.
3. Install the available updates
4. Reboot the Appliance
