New NSX data center license not recognized by Trend Micro Deep Security (11.0 Update 7 and older)

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

When using a new "NSX Data Center - Advanced" or higher NSX license, Trend Micro Deep Security older than 11.0 Update #8 will not correctly recognize the license and disable several features (Web Reputation, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention).

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Cause

Due to a change in the way the NSX license presents features to the vCenter, Trend Micro Deep Security is not able to detect the type of NSX license in use and therefore disable several features (Web Reputation, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention).
Older NSX licenses (NSX for vSphere) are not affected.

Resolution

Upgrade the Trend Micro Deep Security manager to 11.0 Update 8 or later
