Deploying BitDefender in NSX-v 6.4.0 fails with the error: "Security Server (VMware with NSX) kit is not downloaded"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Deploying BitDefender on NSX-v 6.4.0 fails.
• You see the error similar to:
  
  Security Server (VMware with NSX) kit is not downloaded.

• In the vsm.log file, you see entries similar to:
   
  ERROR http-nio-127.0.0.1-7441-exec-49 BaseRestController:518 - - [nsxv@6876 comp="nsx-manager" subcomp="manager"] REST API failed : 'A solution is still registered.'
  com.vmware.vshield.endpointsecurity.exceptions.EPSecException: null
          at com.vmware.vshield.endpointsecurity.service.impl.EndpointServiceImpl.unregisterVendor_aroundBody106(EndpointServiceImpl.java:1071) ~[endpointsecurity-1.0.jar:?]

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Resolution

Note: This issue has not been reproducible by BitDefender. 

BitDefender is currently unsupported with VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.0.

Currently, there is no resolution or workaround.
