Custom HTTP/HTTPS ports are not reflected in vSphere Client and vSphere Web client

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Although HTTP/HTTPS ports are customized in installing vCenter 6.0, the ports are not reflected in vCenter Server Settings > Ports > Management tab > General.
• The actual used ports look likely to be customized.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 6.0.x

Resolution

This is a cosmetic issue in vSphere Client and vSphere Web Client.

 

To resolve the issue, change the incorrect view by modifying the settings from vSphere Client,

1. Login to vSphere Client.
2. Go to vCenter Server Settings > Advanced Settings.
3. Change the value in WebService.Ports.http/https to be customized port.
