To display information on Hardware Status Tab, the Global.Health privilege must be assigned at the vCenter Server Root level.
If your account is assigned the Administrators role at levels other than the vCenter Server Root level, the same user account must be assigned with a role that has Global.Health permission at the vCenter Server Root level.
To add this permission:
-
Launch vSphere Client and connect to the vCenter Server as the Administrator (or with an account that has local administrator account rights).
-
Click Home, then click Roles (under Administration).
-
Right-click on a blank area and choose Add.
- Provide a name for the new role.
-
Expand the + in front of the Global privilege, then select Health.
-
Click OK.
-
Click Home, then click Hosts and clusters.
-
Click the vCenter Server Root level, then click the Permissions tab.
-
Right-click on an empty area in the right pane and choose Add Permission.
-
Click Add, locate the user or group account from the Select Users and Groups box, then click OK.
-
Click the Assigned Role dropdown and select the role you created earlier.
-
Ensure that Propagate to Child Objects is selected and click OK.
-
Close and reopen vSphere Client.
