Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about the Adaptec CIM provider that is part of Adaptec maxView Storage Manager. It performs management tasks such as collecting details of all storage resources such as adapter, battery, physical disks and logical drives including the health status. It is a passive provider and thus, does not support any storage provisioning operations.

CIM client plug-in support

Adaptec CIM provider is supported by any standard CIM Client tools such as:

• SBLIM WbemCLI and
• OpenPegasus CimCLI

Note: Adaptec maxView Storage Manager provides web-based GUI support.
