Changing the DefaultLocale language setting in config.xml

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• You set en_US as DefaultLocale in config.xml
• The VMware Infrastructure Client or WebAccess still displays foreign language not English

Environment

VMware ESX Server 3.5.x

Resolution

This is by design.

To use the English UI:

1. Open Regional and Language Option in Control Panel
2. Click the Regional Option tab
3. Change locale from Foreign to English (US)
