How to schedule a report in Watch4Net

Scheduled Reports are reports that you can send at a fixed rate to a list of recipients you have defined. For example, if you want to receive (or send) each Monday at 8 AM a specific report on some routers.

Scheduled Reports Management
Click on Schedule this report when you want the report to be generated on a scheduled frequency.
  • Scheduling Name: The name you want for the scheduled report. If you click on the link icon at the right of the field, you will be able to manually change the link to the report (to use if you know what you   re doing).

  • Link: It is not recommended to manually modify the link to the report. However, if needed, the syntax to use is the following one. For a node with ID 0-2-3e8e8b63-847f58d5 and UID Transactions, it would be either 2:3e8e8b63-847f58d5, either 2:#Transactions, the last one being the best.

  • Scheduled Since: APG's web portal is setup to check scheduled reports generation every hour. Thus minutes and seconds from the start time you entered will be ignored.

  • Scheduled Every...: This scheduled report will be generated every period selected here, starting from the time define above. The custom period works as follows: when setting it to 1 day and 1 hour, the report will be generated every 25 hours.

  • Is Enabled? : When not set (i.e. disabled), this scheduled report will simply be ignored.

  • Is report stored?: If checked, the report will be saved when completed and will be available on Stored Reports node.

  • Confirmation email: Leave blank if you don't want any confirmation. This email address list accepts comma-separated values. Aliases are allowed as long as the configured SMTP server knows them.

  • Available Formats: One or more export formats can be selected here.

  • Recipients: This email address list accepts comma-separated values. Aliases are allowed as long as the configured SMTP server knows them.

  • Subject: The text you want as the subject for this message.

  • Message: The custom message you want to be sent with the report.

  • Remote location: The report will be send in the desired formats to a remote location defined by a URL.

  • Confirmation email: Leave blank if you don't want any confirmation. This email address list accepts comma-separated values. Aliases are allowed as long as the configured SMTP server knows them.
