Data for computed field is missing in Watch4Net reports
Computed fields do not  display data in Watch4net reports

Computed fields remain empty even though all required data is available and Formula is correct

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - Watch4Net/M&R

Cause

The setting "hide if the node is a leaf" will hide the data in the field from the formula using it for calculations, resulting in null calculations and "missing" data.

Resolution

Instead of the "hide if the node is a leaf" setting, use the "hide in browse mode but use it for report computation" setting. This will allow the formulas access to the required data for computations, but will prevent the field from displaying to users.
