Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Traffic loss seen for fragmented packets in vSphere 6.5.
  • HCX and NSX-V Edge enabled sink port, and multi-fragment packets in l2vpn and l3vpn.


Environment

VMware vSphere 6.5.x

Cause

This issue occurs because ESXi dropping packet issue is related to sink port and cache dispatching

Resolution

This issue is resolved in vSphere 6.5 Update 2 and 6.7, available at VMware Downloads .
