Smarts SAM/OI: The Notify/Re-notify events in Perl API do not increase count field

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Trap events are received in OI, but SAM is not receiving this event.
The Notify/Re-notify events in Perl API do not increase count field

The count field for the DURABLE event type does not increase

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

Event type for the trap is DURABLE.

Resolution

When the notification event type is DURABLE, this event must clear first and then re-notify before it will increase the count field. If the notification event type is MOMENTARY, the count field will increase every time it is notified, and does not need to be cleared first.
