Smarts Topology sync is not working in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
Smarts Topology information is not populating SCOM 2007/2012

Smarts topology information is missing after I upgraded IP from 7.X to a version 8.X, 9.0 and 9.1

The following error is seen in the OpsManager logs for Smarts IP environment:

5:50:11 AM [FATAL] There was an Error Inserting Topology Records: The class property value specified in the discovery data item is not valid. The value needs to adhere to the class.Class property name: EMC.NetworkDevice.IsManaged Class property value: Rule ID: 7ff26327-09e0-46ef-b12d-9593fde6a500

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The OpsManager log error is generated when the lib is not loaded properly and there is an attempt to topology sync between Smarts AM and OpsManager.

Resolution

This issue is a known issue and has been resolved in Smarts IP 9.2. Registered users can download and apply Smarts IP 9.2 from the EMC Online Support site (http://support.emc.com). To access all Smarts IP software downloads, select Support By Product, search for "Smarts IP" and then select Downloads.
