Can I install Smarts Notif on a server with an AMD CPU?

Smarts Notification Manager (Notif) installation on a server with an AMD CPU takes a long time (such as 4 hours)

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The above problem symptom occurs because Smarts Notif does not support installation on systems with AMD processors.

Resolution

As specified in the Smarts Notification Manager installation guide, the required and supported processor for Notif installation is Xeon 2.8 or 3.0 GHz. See the Smarts Notification Manager installation guide for complete OS and hardware requirements for Notif Installation.
