Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Smarts sm_service commands return the following error:

# ./sm_service show
CI-E-EWHILE-While executing fun ction "doOpen"
 CI-EFLOWID-For flow CI_FlowPipe_U IN_FLOW|PHYSICAL
  . sm_service
 <SYS>-ECONNREFUSED-Connection refused; in file
    "/work/whitecurrent/FOUNDATION-7.0.1/8/smarts/clsapi/ci_flow.c" at line 2074

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The location of the sm_serviced database was moved.

Resolution

Delete the /var/smarts/* files and add  "SM_PIPEDIR=/opt/InCharge6/sm_servicedb/pipes" entry to runcmd_env.sh
