Issue/Introduction

Steps to enable the Smarts Service Assurance Manager (Smarts SAM) default Notification list.

Symptoms:

Smarts SAM Default Notification list is "Disabled" and SAM will not connect.

Environment

SMARTS - 10.1.X

Resolution

To enable the SAM default Notification list do the following:

1. Run the following command from the server where you have installed SAM domain
   
   ./dmctl -s <SAM_DOMAIN> invoke ICS_NotificationList::ICS_NL-Default start
    
2. Login to SAM through the Global Admin Console.
3. Re-enable the default notification list.
