Why does Smarts IP generate Interface Disabled events?
For Smarts IP to trigger an Interface Disabled event, the following conditions must exist:
- AprioriProbability_Disabled = 0.0001
- Interface must be AdministrativelyDown
- MODE = NORMAL and the following must be true:
ICIM_NetworkAdapter(LayeredOver) = 0
ICIM_NetworkAdapter(Underlying) > 0
Peer > 0
- If the interface is a part of a Multicast group, Multicast Discovery must be enabled (see Note statement).
These attributes are polled by Smarts IP for each interface and used as the criteria for generating Interface Disabled events. Use the Smarts IP Domain Manager Administration Console to view the current values for these attributes. Click on the interface of concern and then click the Attributes tab to view the Interface Properties.
