How do I migrate groups from one Smarts Service Assurance Manager (Smarts SAM) server to a new Smarts SAM server?
Can Smarts sm_config or sm_xml tools be used to migrate Smarts SAM groups?
There is no tool to migrate Smarts SAM groups from one server to another. When migrating Smarts SAM to a new server, Smarts SAM groups will need to be recreated manually on the new SAM server. Both sm_config and sm_xml are XML-based import/export tools. The sm_config tool is for importing and exporting Smarts SAM server configuration information, while the sm_xml tool is for importing/exporting topology information on a Smarts domain manager.
