Resolution

How to run sm_adapter against an ASL file

After creating an ASL file and verifying its content, execute the following to run the ASL using sm_adapter.

sm_adapter -s <domain name> -b <ASL file name>

Running this command will execute the ASL file and display the output on the screen. 

 

Please note, VMware does not support creating or customizing ASL scripts.  Please contact your VMware Account Manager engage Professional Services engagement.

This is specifically useful when creating an ASL file for a custom script that needs to be run for your environment.
