Why am I not getting CPU performance monitoring in Smarts?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The SNMP agent on the device is not configured to return information for the Host Resources MIB OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2 (hrProcessorLoad). If this is the case, when you run an SNMP GET on this OID, you will see output similar to the following:

<BASEDIR>/smarts/bin/sm_snmp -d <device> -p 161 -c <string> get .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2

Error at index 0: noSuchName

.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2 = Null

Resolution

The SNMP agent must be configured to return values for hrProcessorLoad MIB OID (.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2).
