Symptoms:




SMARTS Server log file says no response from ping but can successfully ping from command line
On Microsoft Windows, The server's log file indicates for seeded devices "No Response from Ping".  These devices remain on the pending List.  However, when they execute a CLI ping, there is a response.

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

This is due to a Microsoft Windows bug.

Resolution
