Options to disable/prevent specific notifications (or specific instances) from showing up in the Smarts SAM Notification Log Console

Resolution

The options for disabling specific notifications so that they do not show up in the Smarts SAM Notification Log Console include the following:

• Unmanage the instances: If you don't want to receive any notifications for certain instances in SAM from any underlying domain managers, you will need to unmanage each of the instances in their respective underlying domain. If the instance exists in multiple underlying domains (AM-PM, BGP, MPLS, etc) you will need to unmanage the instance in each of the domains.
• Filter the instances: If you don't mind receiving the notifications in SAM and simply want to filter them from your operators view, usually for auditing purposes, you will need to create a new NotificationList in SAM and have it filter out all notifications for these instances.
