After managing an Interface, its Oper and Admin status reports as UNKNOWN

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Interface Oper and Admin status showing as UNKNOWN even though interface has been managed.

Environment

Smarts 10.1.X / 2..X

Cause

The domain did not go through reconfigure after interface has been managed

Resolution

Make sure to run reconfigure after interface has been managed, in order to start polling interfaces for status IP domain has to run a reconfigure to initialize the instrumentation objects.
