Smarts SDI Adapter fails to initialize and start
Smarts SDI Adapter log contains error message similar to the following:

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

Deadlock is caused by more than one transaction attempting to use the same record in the database at the same time.

Resolution

EMC is evaluating the requirements for a fix to resolve this issue in an upcoming Smarts SAM Adapters release. Contact EMC Support for Smarts and quote this solution ID to find out the status of this fix.
