Does Smarts NPM ISIS support OSI?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

No. Smarts ISIS currently does not support OSI, only IP. To verify whether the interface is IP numbered or OSI numbered, run the following CLI command:

 show clns protocol

If the command output is similar to the following, then the Smarts NPM ISIS environment is not supported and you will have any Smarts NPM ISID discovery taking place:

Interfaces supported by IS-IS:

Serial2/0:4 - OSI

Serial2/0:2 - OSI

Ethernet0/0 - OSI
