Smarts IP/Availability Manager: Stackwise interfaces are not managed for Cisco 3750 switches

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Stackwise interfaces in Smarts IP Availability Manager are not managed for Cisco 3750 switches (Sys oid .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.516 )
The below oids are found in the walk of the device however they are not seen in Smarts SAM:

In discovery logs the oids are being discovered but some post processing is not detecting or has deleted them in Smarts SAM:

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

It is expected behavior. The ifTypePattern "53" is not included as part of standard interface discovery since propVirtual(53) [proprietary virtual/internal].

Resolution

Add the exclusive ifTypepattern in tpmgr-param.conf as shown below, reload it and then rediscover the device.
