Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The audit file has reached the operating systems file size limit and can no longer be written to by the domain.

Resolution

Rename or remove the existing audit file.

Additional Information

Both the audit and archive files for Smarts SAM and OI need to be renamed or removed when their file size reaches the operating system limit.  These files can be found in the following directory:

<BASEDIR>/SAM/smarts/local/logs

The files are named <domain name>.audit and <domain name>.archive.  You can simply rename the files and they will be recreated the next time the domain needs to write to them.  See 7082  for more information.
