Cause

Interface status NOTPRESENT in Smarts IP usually indicates an issue with the device SNMP agent.

Resolution

Smarts IP AM will report a port or interface as NOTPRESENT if it encounters one of the following SNMP errors as a response during IP polling:

• NOSUCHOBJECT
• NOSUCHNAME
• NOSUCHINSTANCE
• ENDOFMIBVIEW
