Resolution

• The interface Manage Status is modified through the ASL Script in the ic-post-port-manager.asl file.

• Smarts AM manages the interfaces in this file with an override parameter set to False.

• When the override parameter is set to False, then if the given interface is explicitly Managed, the status will not be changed.

• This is the reason why you may see the line "*managing interface..." in a Smarts IP server log file, but if the interface is explicitly unmanaged, Smarts IP will not manage it.
